TA: Hi Jim. Thanks for taking a few minutes to talk with us today.
Jim Morrison:
TA: I have often wondered how you felt about "The End" being the signature tune for the motion picture
"Apocalypse Now" ?
Jim Morrison:
TA: I had some friends from Pensacola who were working musician's in the L.A. area when you guys started playing gigs for free, like the one at the Whiskey-A-Go-Go. It really made it difficult for a lot of local bands to get gigs. Were you aware at the time of the impact that this might have on the poor working musician's in the area?
Jim Morrison:
TA: Well that was along time ago. Is it true that you put a hit of LSD in Ed Sullivan's Coffee Cup when you guys did the Ed Sullivan Show, and that he never re-acted to it? Sort of like he was tripping all the time any way huh? Like "Really big Shoe"? Bwah hahahaha! Cool.
Jim Morrison:
TA: I thought Val Kilmer did ok playing you in the Doors movie. I would have liked to have seen you play Doc Holiday in Tombstone though. You got that gambler/gunslinger look, ya know?
Jim Morrison:
TA: Does it make you mad when people yell stuff at you like "Come on Baby Light my Fire?". You know, stuff like that?
Jim Morrison:
TA: What did you think of Pensacola the few times you were here while your dad was Navy?
Jim Morrison:
TA: Again, thanks man, big time, for taking the time for the phone call.
